PRICE GUIDE - BESPOKE WEDDING STATIONERY & BOOKBINDING
The completely custom nature of each project makes a fixed price list difficult before consultation. As an indication, couples will usually invest a minimum of £1,500.
Choosing bespoke wedding stationery and bound books provides the most personal service possible, creating your vision exactly as you want it. Each bespoke project is unique, tailored specifically to bring your ideas to life. Every item of stationery is designed from scratch and will make use of embossing, foil printing or calligraphy as you see fit, while each bound book is entirely hand crafted to your specifications and choice of materials.
Commissioning bespoke stationery and bound books is a process which I will take you through every step of the way. It begins with an initial consultation, either at my Suffolk studio or via video conferencing, during which we will sketch out your vision for the project. After this, I will be able to provide you with a more specific quotation and timeline for the completion of the project.
Bespoke design fee
My design fee for bespoke wedding stationery begins at £500. This covers the process of bringing your ideas to life on the page and setting the layout, colours and fonts to be used. Included are the design for your wedding invite, RSVP insert and other details. You can then choose to add further customisation in terms of a monogram, illustration or unique border pattern, all of which will include an additional fee which will be specified in advance.
If you wish to have a Save the Date card designed in addition to your invite this comes at a starting fee of £200 with additional details incurring extra costs as above.
The design fee for the On the Day stationery varies depending on what items you choose to include such as Table Names, Menus, Namecards, Order of Service or any others.
Materials costs
Commissioning bespoke wedding stationery and bound books ensures you will enjoy the use of the finest artisanal materials, as are used in all Aulwynd Bindery handcrafted items, with total control over the colours, types and finishes of the materials involved.
For bound books like a guestbook or photo album, this involves choices such as leather, cloth or marbled paper covers, and a range of different binding styles from minimal, sewn contemporary options to traditional gilt edged hardback bindings. For the wedding stationery, Aulwynd BIndery has relationships with the UK's best artisanal paper suppliers, letterpress printing, and even a bespoke calligrapher and hand marbled paper artist.
Due to the wide selection of materials, binding styles and print options available it is very difficult to offer a guide price up front. After our initial consultation I will be able to provide a more detailed quotation, given the various aesthetic choices you make.
As an example for the simplest package of stationery and bound books, which would include quarterbound cloth and marbled paper bindings and the basic design package for stationery, couples can expect to invest at least £150 in materials costs.
