For the bound books created for your wedding everything will be made entirely by hand using traditional materials and heritage techniques. When it comes to making these items personal to you we are able to make any accommodation necessary.
For example, when it comes to books required for any wedding package such as the guestbook or photo album, you can choose between various binding styles and materials. For those interested in a traditional or formal wedding, we can offer full bindings in leather and gilt or books with leather spines and cloth or marbled paper covers. Our marbled paper is hand made by an artisan in Essex and we use only the finest British made calf leathers. The choices over colour and marbling pattern are endless and you can commission customs mabrling patterns in accordance with the wider aesthetic themes of your wedding.
For couples who prefer a more modern or less formal wedding, perhaps a Japanese sewn binding style would be preferable or a minimalist cloth or paper full-cover binding. Whatever you want we can make and we will help you choose what is best by showing you examples of various binding styles and materials before you commission the books you want for your wedding.
Finally, we can also accommodate bound books designed for specific moments on your wedding day. For example, one couple we have worked for requested hand made folders that they could hold while delivering their vows and speeches rather than having to rely on memorising them.
